Acceptable Use Policy
PlantReach connects your team to live industrial equipment. This policy keeps the platform safe for everyone on it — it applies to every company, administrator, and engineer account.
01 About this policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the PlantReach platform operated by Compunet Automation ("PlantReach", "we", "us"). It applies to every company, administrator, and engineer account. By using PlantReach you accept this policy. If you do not accept it, do not use the platform.
02 What PlantReach is for
PlantReach provides secure remote access to industrial equipment — PLCs, HMIs, drives and related devices — over encrypted tunnels, for legitimate engineering, maintenance, monitoring, and support activities on systems you own or are authorised to maintain.
03 Your responsibilities
Use PlantReach only on equipment and networks you are authorised to access by the owner or operator.
Keep your credentials and WireGuard configuration files private. Each engineer config is personal — do not share accounts or configs.
Use strong, unique passwords and keep your contact details current.
Report suspected unauthorised access or security incidents to PlantReach support without delay.
Comply with all laws applying to the systems you access, including occupational-safety requirements when interacting with live machinery.
04 Prohibited use
Access, probe, scan, or test systems you are not authorised to access, or attempt to do so through the platform.
Use PlantReach to bypass safety systems, interlocks, or permits on industrial machinery.
Interfere with other customers' tunnels, traffic, or data. The platform enforces tenant isolation — attempting to circumvent it is a material breach.
Transmit malware, launch attacks, or run port scans from the tunnel.
Resell or sublicense access to the platform without written agreement.
Reverse-engineer the platform, unit firmware we supply, or the provisioning protocol, except where law permits.
Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
05 Units & hardware
Only units supplied by PlantReach, with serial numbers registered on the platform, may be provisioned. Tampering with unit serial numbers, or provisioning unregistered hardware, is a material breach of this policy.
06 Monitoring & privacy
We collect telemetry — handshake times, traffic counters, DHCP lease reports — to operate the service. We do not inspect the contents of tunnelled traffic. Metadata may be used for billing, capacity planning, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.
07 Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this policy, threaten the platform, or create legal exposure — with notice where practical. Critical security events may result in immediate suspension.
08 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; material changes will be notified to company administrators by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
